The Turkish state is reportedly preparing for a new occupation operation against several areas in Heftanin and Metina regions in Southern Kurdistan, Northern Iraq.
According to information obtained from local sources, the Turkish occupation army is preparing to launch an operation on Keşan and Bektorya areas of Heftanin and the Zendura hill in Metina region.
Reports say that gendarmerie special forces will be dispatched from the Turkish province of Hatay, a part of whom will be deployaed in villages in the Zakho city of Southern Kurdistan. The Turkish troops will then move to the areas in question in Heftanin and Metina regions.
According to reports, the Turkish army will airdrop soldiers on some hills in the Metina region in the event that the operation gets underway.
