İdil district of Şırnak was hit by a huge explosion, which -according to initial reports- occurred while an armored police vehicle passed by Alanya Avenue last night.

Turkish state forces shelled Yeni and Turgut Özal neighborhoods for hours, and raked the municipality building with gunfire in the wake of the blast which reportedly left 3 police dead and 4 others wounded.

Repair works have started in the municipality building which was greatly damaged as a result of the attack, and glasses were broken down in pieces with bullet shots.
