Turkish invasion becoming permanent, KDP helps

Turkish army forces entering Southern Kurdistan territory are looking to make the invasion permanent. Journalists who want to enter the area are barred by KDP security forces.

Turkish army forces have entered Southern Kurdistan territory by crossing the border recently through Şemdinli and Rubarok and through helicopter dispatches.

The army forces have entered the Southern Kurdistan territory with a goal of invasion and are reportedly preparing to become permanent in the vicinity of Heci Beg River, Bermize Village and the Siro Mountain.

VILLAGER’S ACCOUNT

A Bermize villager who wishes to remain anonymous gave information about the Turkish army forces’ activity in the area and said:

“For three days, they have constantly been dispatching forces to our village’s surroundings, to Kani Reş and the Siro Mountain. As far as I’ve seen to date, they brought 6 tanks and many artilleries and heavy weapons. They cut down the forest on the Siro Mountain to position their tanks and heavy weapons. They brought construction machinery to position their tanks on the small hills above our village, bulldozers and diggers. These machines work night and day nonstop. After they settled in the hills above our village they started to go up the Siro Mountain. Now they are building positions to stay on top of the Siro Mountain.”

“PEOPLE ARE ANGRY”

The villager said the people are very angry at the Turkish army’s invasion and at the silence of the KDP security forces that have positions in and around the village and over the Heci Beg River that runs through Deşta Heyate, essentially turning a blind eye to the invasion.

A SECRET DEAL?

Journalists who wanted to go to the Bermize village, Deşta Heyate and the Heci Beg River to monitor the Turkish army invasion in the region and write their articles were not allowed into the area by the KDP security forces. Local press and Gele Kurdistan TV reporters were not let through the area yesterday afternoon, which led to speculation that there is a secret deal between the KDP and Turkey regarding the invasion.
