Turkish jets bomb guerrilla areas in South Kurdistan territory

Turkish state continued its airstrikes against PKK-held Medya Defense Zones in South Kurdistan territory yesterday evening when Qandil, Xakurê, Zap, Zagros and Gare areas became the target of attacks.

According to the reports by local sources, the bombardment by a number of jets started at 21:00 yesterday evening and was accompanied by reconnaissance of many unmanned aerial vehicles. No information is yet available as to the consequences of the attacks by Turkish forces.

Turkish state's airstrikes against guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones continues since July 24. The attacks also target the civilian settlements in the region and threaten the local people's security of life and property.

During the airstrikes on August 1, 2015, Turkish jets targeted the Zergelê village of Qandil, which left eight civilians dead and 14 others wounded.
