Turkish military continues its provocation at the border of Gire Spi (Tal Abyad), Kobanê Canton, in the wake of the threats uttered by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan against Rojava and YPG in Antep on October 24.
YPG Press Office has released a statement reporting ongoing attacks by Turkish military against positions secured by combatants of the People’s Defense Units (YPG) in Rojava, West Kurdistan.
According to the YPG statement, Turkish military conducted an attack with heavy weaponry against YPG positions in the western countryside of Girê Spî at around 11:00 on October 27 (today).
Another heavy weaponry attack by Turkish forces targeted the YPG positions at Girê Spî border between 18:15 and 18:30 today, while Turkish troops also patrolled on the border line with armored vehicles.
Following this attack, Turkish forces opened random fire with A4 and MG3 weapons, which targeted the YPG positions in town centre and western countryside at around 19:30.
