Turkish state attacks peace and sacred values in Dersim

The state terror continues in Dersim with inhuman practices by security forces that are attacking the sacred values of the people as they keep the military operation in Pülümür valley going. Clashes between soldiers and guerrillas in the region are going on.

The extensive operation by Turkish troops continues in the rural areas of Pülümür Valley since it was started after the closure of Dersim-Pülümür road by an order from Dersim Governorate four days ago. The army has deployed additional troops and airdropped more soldiers in the area.

While the operation intensifies mainly in the triangular area between Hakis (Büyükyurt), Dokuzkaya (Markasor) and Alacık (Roşnek), Turkish bombardments have once again targeted 'Suna Çiçek and Dr. Baran Cemetery' which houses graves of PKK militants and victims of the Dersim massacre perpetrated by state forces in 1938, located in Tahtı Samu terrain of Alacık (Roşnek) village.

SACRED VALUES OF THE PEOPLE UNDER ATTACK

The Turkish state is continuing its attacks on the sacred values and places of the Alevi people during the 12 İmam mourning days.

As the intense activity and bombardments by Cobra type helicopters continues uninterruptedly around Alacık (Roşnek) village, soldiers have been dispatched and airdropped into the region, upon which sounds of weapons and bombardments have been heard the region.

CEMETERY OF MARTYRS SHELLED WITH HEAVY WEAPONRY

The cemetery of martyrs, as well as all the graves and the cemevi (Alevi place of worship) inside the graveyard have all been demolished by intense bombardments conducted by Turkish helicopters with heavy weaponry.

POWER AND WATER CUT OFF

As reconnaissance flights over the region also go on, power lines on Dersim-Pülümür road have all been destroyed due to the bombardments by Turkish soldiers. Electricity and water remain cut in Dersim city centre and all the villages affiliated to it since yesterday.
