Residents of Banikê village in Haftanin stated that Turkish state forces consciously targeted them on November 21 in order to force the villagers to migrate or face massacres. Many houses and gardens were damaged during the attack, which was widely condemned by the villagers.

Luckily, nobody was killed during the bombardment. Residents of Banikê village emphasized that such attacks on Kurdistan have no place in international law, and called upon international powers to end their silence and take actions to prevent such attacks in the future.

Lastly, the villagers reiterated that such bombardments have the purpose of forcing the villagers to leave their villages or face massacres, but added that they have no home but Kurdistan.
