People’s Defence Forces said that at least twenty-two Turkish soldiers were killed and four others were wounded in separate incidents in Northern Kurdistan.
According to the statement by HPG, Kurdish guerrillas killed eight Turkish soldiers between Lice and Silvan districts of Diyarbakir on October 22. Turkish army transferred the dead soldiers by helicopters from the area while Kurdish guerrillas didn’t suffer any causalities.
On the same day, another eight Turkish soldiers were killed in clashes in rural Hazro, a district of Diyarbakir province. HPG said Kurdish guerrillas hit Turkish army positions in Berbus mountain passage from close range.
After suffering heavy losses Turkish army ended its military operations in Hazro and Lice.
THREE SOLDIERS KILLED IN SIRNAK
In Sirnak, Kurdish guerrillas targeted two military positions of Turkish army in Deriye Beroj, Sirnak. HPG reported of three Turkish soldiers killed.
After the attack Turkish army bombarded the area randomly.
Two soldiers were killed in Yuksekova, a district of Hakkari province as Kurdish guerrillas carried out sniper attacks against Turkish soldiers based in Eliser Hill.
Another soldier was killed in an attack against Turkish military positions in Petrut area near Cukurca, a district of Hakkari province.
