“On Sunday night, December 17, 2017, two Kurdish tradesmen called Osman Ahmadi (20 years old) and Mohammad Bahrami (23 years old, married with a child) were ambushed by Iranian Law Enforcement Forces (NAJA) in the border area of Sardasht. NAJA forces opened fire on these tradesmen who were severely injured as a result. The injured tradesmen lost their life later due to the refusal of NAJA forces to transfer them to the hospital although the injured victims were seriously bleeding” an informed source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
“The tradesmen carried almonds on their horses. One of the injured tradesmen had a short call with his family and asked for help while stating that they had been trapped in the mountainous area between the villages of Herzani and Betivsh. However, NAJA forces surrounded the area until 4 a.m. and they did not allow anyone in the area”, the source said.
According to the source, when the local people managed to find the injured tradesmen at 4 a.m., they had died due to the severity of their bleeding. The Office of Forensic Medicine in Sardasht also announced that the two injured tradesmen had died because of severe bleeding due to delay in the transfer to the hospital.
December 19 afternoon, the victims’ families receivedthe corpses from the Office of Forensic Medicine in the city of Sardasht and buried them in Beitoush village, the source added.
