Fighting in the ranks of the YRK in the Rojhilat mountains, a young guerrilla from İdil, Nûda, says: "The enemy may have shattered Kurdistan, but Kurdistan is as a whole in our brains and hearts."
Nûda is a 22-year-old guerrilla from İdil district of Şırnak, the child of a patriotic family. They have all the patriotic features of the Kiçî tribe. She grows with loyalty to the country, the land and the people.
The state she started to recognize, the persecution she witnessed, made her grow up early. When she was very young, she decided to join the guerrilla ranks with her cousin Yerîvan. They joined together in 2013. Sharing guerrilla life during and after the training bounded them even further.
Yerîvan fell martyr following an air attack carried out by the Turkish state in 2016. The martyrdom of her cousin, friend and companion Yerîvan increased her feelings of revenge even more. Nûda says: "When we joined together, we made a promise; we would not betray this path and not leave each other, no matter what. Her martyrdom further increased our unity and bond. I will continue her struggle with greater devotion. I will never forget the promise we made to each other. I live with the memories she left me. I will continue my struggle with all my strength to fulfill her dreams successfully."
Nûda, who noted that she always got great honor from her participation and renewed her promise of success, is now in the Rojhilat mountains and in the ranks of the YRK as a woman.
Nûda said: "As a woman from North Kurdistan, the main goal of my presence in the Rojhilat mountains is my desire to fight against the Iranian regime's pressure against women. We were watching TV every day. They executed women, children, youth; I could not remain silent in the face of people being oppressed. As a woman, I want to fulfill my patriotic duties in Rojhilat. The enemy may have shattered Kurdistan, but in our brains and in our hearts Kurdistan is as a whole, and if there is an attack against the Kurdish people, it is our main duty to fight. I want to play this role and mission to the end. I want to avenge our mothers, women, children, youth."
Guerrilla Nûda also called out to the youth of Rojhilat: "They should head towards the mountains instead of being slaughtered at the border, lead a drug-addicted life, instead of, especially women, being left in silence at home. Only by heading to the mountain can we fight effectively against this regime and play our role."
