The Manbij Military Council fighters who liberated the city of Manbij from ISIS gangs in the Manbij liberation operation that launched on June 1, 2016 are now displaying a historic resistance against the aerial and ground attacks of the Turkish state.

We visited the Manbij Military Council fighters in the frontlines around Osecli village, to the west of Manbij and target to attacks by the Turkish state and SUK gangs and occasionally ISIS, and observed the frontline.

WE ARE DISPLAYING A GREAT RESISTANCE

Manbij Miliary Council fighter Ebu Ali spoke to the ANF and said the AKP/Erdoğan exiled the Syrian peoples, forced them into being refugees since the beginning of the war and put them through massacres, torture and exile by the hand of ISIS and gang groups affiliated with the Syrian National Coalition (SUK).

Ebu Eli stated that they liberated Manbij from ISIS gangs after a 73 day long liberation operation and reiterated that the Turkish state entered Northern Syrian territory and invaded Jarablus, then attacked Manbij Military Council and Manbij city with jet fighters along with SUK gangs.

Ebu Eli said that recently a resistance re-emerged against the intense attacks on Manbij and the Manbij Military Council fighters.

Ebu Eli said the Turkish state and SUK gangs attacked Şex Nasır, Kavaklı, Yılanlı, Sab Weran, Osecli villages and Arima town to the west of Manbij and stated that they as the Manbij Military Council fighters resisted the attacks with a great will.

Ebu Eli said the people of Manbij came together around their fighters and called on the Manbij youth to join the ranks of the Manbij Military Council and protect the people and the land.

“WE WILL DEFEND OUR LAND UNTIL OUR LAST DROP OF BLOOD”

Another Manbij Military Council fighter Ehmed Jemal greeted the Manbij martyrs and said the Turkish state invaded Jarablus and Al Rai to protect ISIS and wanted to invade Manbij.

Jemal underlined that the Turkish state started sending reinforcement gang members as well as weapons, ammunition and logistical aid to the region over Jarablus and Al Rai, and stated that the Turkish state and the SUK gangs started attacking Manbij as a result of this.

Ehmed Jemal said the Turkish state attacked their positions with jet fighters an Howitzers and SUK gangs attacked the positions in parallel, and stated that they didn’t retreat despit all this.

Jemal said that the Turkish state’s efforts were in vain, they would never leave the lands of Manbij they liberated with their blood to the Turkish state and SUK gangs and that they will fight until the last drop of their blood.

“WE WILL NOT LET THE INVASION AND THE ATTACKS THROUGH”

Another Manbij Military Council fighter, Cumali İsa pointed out that the attacks on Manbij by the Turkish state and SUK gangs intensified recently and stated that they wanted to invade the liberated Manbij.

İsa said, “The peoples of Syria will decide who will be in Manbij and who won’t, not the Turkish state,” and asked: “How can Turkey think they have the right to speak in the name of the Syrian peoples?”

İsa underlined that it was AKP/Erdoğan and the gangs allied with ISIS and SUK who exiled the Syrian people and put them through torture and said: “The ones carrying out an ethnic cleansing and a sectarian cleansing in Syria are AKP/Erdoğan and the SUK and ISIS gangs they support. The Turkish state holds a large responsibility for the 6-year long Syrian civil war. We as the democratic and libertarian forces of Syria will not let the invasion come to pass. The resistance and the revolutionary struggle will continue until the end. Everything necessary to protect our people will be done in a sacrificial spirit and the flame of freedom will rise.”
