Southern Kurdistan’s Free Society Movement (Tevgera Azadî) Headquarters released a written statement and highlighted suspicion that Sulaymaniyah branch co-chair Azad Omer Mihemed (Hacî Azad) might have been detained by Sulaymaniyah asayish (public security) forces during today’s wave of arrests in the city. The statement noted that Mihemed has not been contacted since 09:30 Tuesday morning.

Tevgera Azadî called upon Sulaymaniyah asayish, security board and governorate to provide information about the fate of Azad Omer Mihemed, warning that their response will be harsh if they do not hear about him.
