In the invasion attack launched by the Turkish army on Zap, Avaşîn and Metîna regions on 17 April 2022, the Kurdistan freedom guerrillas carry out actions that shock the invading army.

Especially since the first day of the Zap war, the YJA Star used heavy weapons teams against the hills that Turkish soldiers tried to occupy. These actions play an important role in the interruption of the invasion attempt.

YJA Star guerrillas Sorxwîn Serhad and Stêra Ararat drew attention to the fact that they carried out actions on every hill where the invading army tried to occupy, and that their actions, especially with mortars, dealt a heavy blow to the psychology of the Turkish soldiers.

One of the most important details of the war in the Zap area is that the guerrillas demonstrate their skills in almost all tactics. The aim of the Turkish state, that tried to enter the Zap region with this invasion attack it called "Claw-Lock", was to launch simultaneous invasion operations on many hills to reduce the guerrilla's mobility to zero with the use of intense technology.

However, the plan failed.

The losses suffered by the Turkish army in these actions since the first day of the war, including heavy weapons actions, are incalculable. As YJA Star guerrilla Sorxwîn said: "They may enter Zap, but they won't easily go out of it."
