Attacks by state forces have killed two civilians in Nusaybin district of Mardin today.

State forces have started to target civilian areas in Fırat neighborhood after laying a siege around the area earlier today. Fire opened from armored vehicles deployed around Veysika Cemetery left two civilians heavily wounded on Dilek Street.

While 19-year-old Kerem Akyürek died at the scene, another youth by the name of Hüseyin Akyüz was taken under treatment at Nusaybin State Hospital. Akyüz has succumbed to his heavy wounds on the back and arms in the evening. His body has been taken to Mardin State Hospital's morgue.
