YPG Press Office has released the balance sheet of war for the month of July. Accordingly, 242 members of the gangs were killed and 18 YPG fighters were martyred.
According to the YPG balance sheet of war, gang groups affiliated to the Syrian National Coalition attacked Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood of Aleppo dozens of times with mortars and heavy weapons during the month of July, 2016. One child was martyred as a result of these attacks.
YPG stated that Turkish army violated the border and attacked Rojava land 22 times during July. Turkish border guards captured three civilians trying to cross into North Kurdistan from Elok village of Serekaniye on July 31, one of whom was battered and later shot dead by soldiers. YPG said attacks of the Turkish military caused a great material damage for the civilian people.
The balance sheet noted that ISIS gangs that suffered a major loss and blow during the Manbij operation carried out attacks targeting the civilians in the border areas of Rojava-Northern Syria Federation. With this purpose, gangs launched an aggression on Ayn îsa town and the southeastern side of the Tishren Dam in Kobanê in the morning of July 16. Gang members infiltrated into six villages on the border and massacred 10 civilians in Sêgolê village and three others in Birberqalê village.
YPG said 18 fighters of theirs were martyred last month.
According to the balance sheet of war, YPG launched six operations, and engaged in 91 confrontations and clashes, during which 242 members of the gangs were killed, 96 were captured dead and 6 were captured alive.
A large quantity of ammunition belonging to the gangs was also seized, while 2 bomb-laden vehicles, 1 hummer car, a panzer, 2 military vehicles, 2 DShK-equipped cars and 1 motorbike of the gangs were left unusable.
