YPG reports attacks and violations by the Turkish army against Rojava

YPG said that the Turkish army and affiliated gang groups are continuing their attacks against the lands of Rojava, West Kurdistan.

YPG (People's Defense Units) Press Office released a statement about the ongoing attacks of the occupant Turkish army and gang groups acting under their command against the lands of Rojava.

According to the YPG statement published on its website,

Turkish army violated the Rojava border in the Zehre village of the Efrîn Canton's Bilbilê village in the afternoon of February 26. Short after this violation with a Turkish military panzer, YPG units opened warning fire on the area, which forced the Turkish forces retreat from the area.

The statement continued: “At around 21:00 on February 26, a Cobra type helicopter of the Turkish army crossed over the Rojava land from Til Koçer side, and shelled the Til Elo village in Çilaxa region. Our forces at the scene responded to the aerial attack with air defense weapons.

In the same evening, gangs under the command of the Turkish army launched an attack on Maranez and Vîla Qadî villages in Efrîn Canton with tank and mortar fire. Our forces fiercely responded to this attack.”
