128 workers died in November

Worker Health and Work Security Assembly said at least 128 workers including 5 immigrants, 5 children and 10 women, were killed as a result of work incidents in November.

Construction (31 casualties) remains the sector with the highest number of dead followed by transport (13), agriculture (18), textile/leather (13), trade (12) and mining (10). 

On 5 November, 7 textile workers died due to a traffic accident in Bozova district, Şanlıurfa. 

On 7 November, 5 trade workers died due to a fire in Gaziantep. According to a preliminary report by Chamber of Electric Engineers, the building had no fire or emergency exits. It was also noted that it was not suitable for manifacture.
