Of the 20 people who were detained with house-raids in Cukurca/Hakkari and taken to Van prosecutor's Office, six have been released, while other 14 have been arrested.

Carrying out house raids after the explosion event in Çukurca on August 7 when four police officers were injured, police detained 20 people including BDP District Chair Sýddýk Güzel. The detainees gave statement at prosecutor’s office until the morning hours.

While two of the detainees were released after giving statements, 18 were referred to the Juridical Office of High Criminal Court. While four were released after bearing their testimonies here, 14 detainees, including BDP District Chair Sýddýk Güzel, Provincial Council member Fuat Ediþ, Alderman Ramazan Dayan and BDP district administrators Suphi Çetkinkaya and Süleyman Çetinkaya, were arrested and sent to prison on charges of “being member to the organization (PKK)”.
