The Turkish state's operations of political elimination against Kurds are being enhanced across the North Kurdistan territory since last month's massive protest demonstrations in solidarity with the fight going on in Kobanê town of West Kurdistan, Rojava, against barbarian ISIS gangs ceaselessly attacking the town for two months.
The detention operation in Taşlıçay (Avkevir) district of Ağrı resulted in the detention of four people including an executive of the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) district organization.
The operation is reported to have been carried out in relation with the Kobanê protests on 9 October. Detainees have been taken to the district police headquarters.
Police teams have also raided a number of houses in Patnos district in the very early hours of the morning. Eight people including DBP (Party of Democratic Regions, formerly BDP) provincial general assembly member Atilla Uygar (45), have been detained.
Two minors aged 17 were also taken into custody in the house raids in the village of Kurdegöz.
