The Governor of Mardin, who was appointed trustee to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality after the removal of elected co-mayor Ahmet Türk on August 19, has started to fire employees en masse.

150 employees working for the Mardin Water and Sewerage Administration (MARSU) affiliated to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality have been dismissed.

Those dismissed were reportedly determined by a unit formed by the trustee who has taken over the administration of the municipality.

Reports say that more lists are being prepared for dismissal.
