People joining the vigil in solidarity with the Kobanê resistance for the last two weeks, since 15 September when ISIS gangs intensified their attacks on Kobanê, remain determined not to leave the border despite the ongoing repression and attacks by Turkish security forces deployed in the border area.
A total of 25 people have been injured in the last two days after being hit with rubber bullets and tear gas canisters fired by Turkish troops and police staging crackdown on the people holding vigil at the Suruç-Kobanê border .
Turkish troops and police forces attacked the people holding vigil in the villages of Etmanik, Dewşen, Bedhê and Qop to the east of Suruç yesterday.
Early today, security forces also attacked the people joining the vigil at the border village of Boydê to the west of Suruç.
The brutal attacks going on since yesterday have left 25 people injured, including a woman who sustained a critical injury after being hit on the head with a tear gas canister and three youths who were hit on the head, neck and chest. The injured have been taken under treatment at Urfa Harran Research and Training Hospital and Suruç state hospital.
