75 BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) members have been arrested in the last four days while calls are increasing for the BDP to enter Parliament.
30 Kurdish politicians, who were taken into custody with house raids carried out four days ago in Ýzmir, have been arrested while 4 have been released.
While 38 detainees were sent to Izmir Courthouse, 30 Kurdish politicians, included six women, were referred to the vacation court with a demand of arrest on grounds of “providing training on behalf of the organization” and “membership in the organization”. The certificates of the detainees received from the BDP Academy of Politics were counted as "criminal evidence" of 30 Kurdish politicians who were therewith arrested and sent to prison.
