A blast has occurred on İstiklal Avenue of Istanbul's Beyoğlu district today.

Governor of Istanbul, Vasip Şahin, said in a statement that 4 people died as a result of the blast which occurred close to Beyoğlu District Governor's Office. 20 other people were wounded, including 3 in critical condition.

The scene and İstiklal Avenue has been blocked and evacuated by police teams. Press members are not allowed to film the area which is witnessing mobilization by Turkish security members.
