Following the second riot in a juveniles ward of Urfa E-Type Prison on Monday afternoon, 40 prisoners were exiled to the Þakran Prison in Ýzmir on Tuesday morning.

The prison was surrounded by armed vehicles at early morning hours to prevent further conflict with families of prisoners who were attacked by police in front of the prison on Monday evening after the riot started by juvenile prisoners. Intense security measures were taken around the prison.

No reports have been received as to whether political or ordinary prisoners were exiled from the prison.

The Parliamentary Human Rights Sub-Commission is expected to make examinations in the prison.
