According to a report compiled by the Solidarity with Arrested Students Platform there are currently 771 students in jail in Turkey.

The report was compiled by academics from different universities and points out that the majority of the students are charged with "making propaganda for an illegal organization". This despite the fact that most are not members of any organization.
