92 people were taken into custody in Istanbul following house raids carried out before the 1 May Labor Day celebrations.
Many homes were raided before the 1 May Labor Day celebrations in Istanbul. It was reported that some people who were detained in the police raid were subjected to torture. It was stated that 92 people were detained in the raids conducted as part of three separate investigations.
Some of the people taken onto custody are: BEKSAV co-chair Ahmet Uçar, Özgür Gelecek newspaper reporter Perihan Erkılınç, Ayşenur Demir, Polen Ekoloji Kolektifi’s Cemil Aksu, Grup Vardiya soloist Ruşa Sabur, ESP’s Aydın Kılıçdere, Ali Haydar Saygılı, Hüseyin İldan, Cemre Nayır, Eylül Devrim Altepe, Nurgül Uci, Önsöz Magazine Editor-in-Chief Songül Yücel, Struggle Unity Platform representative Muhammed Hizmetçi, ESP MYK member Ali Haydar Saygılı, ESP PM member Hüseyin Ildan.
On the other hand, it was learned that many people from Partizan, TÖP, Proletarian Revolutionary Duruş and Kaldıraç were detained.
