"Öcalan Library" bus on Europe tour arrives in the Netherlands

The “Öcalan Library - Freedom for Öcalan and All Political Prisoners” bus that promotes Kurdish leader Öcalan’s thoughts, ideology, biography and books has arrived in the Netherlands as part of its ongoing Europe tour.

The “Öcalan Library - Freedom for Öcalan and All Political Prisoners” bus that promotes Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s thoughts, ideology, biography and books, has arrived in the Netherlands.

The bus which started its Europe tour from Strasbourg on October 9 has visited Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France and Belgium since, and is in the Netherlands today.

After the Charleroi and Liege cities, the bus headed to Antwerpen city of Belgium Friday evening. Despite the provocation attempts of a group of Turkish fascists, the bus concluded its Belgium tour and arrived in the Netherlands where participants of the tour were welcomed by the Kurds with Öcalan’s posters, slogans and roses. With leaflets, street demonstrations and panels, demonstrators are telling the European community about Öcalan’s paradigm on women, democracy and freedom. The bus will continue its tour in Amsterdam after The Hague.

Speaking to ANF, one of the participants of the bus tour, activist Peter Müller said their goal was to call public attention to the aggravated isolation on Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan and tell his paradigm to various circles across Europe.

Müller said; “We have organized activities in 5 countries so far and the Netherlands is the sixth destination. We are welcomed with great interest by the Kurds and European community in all the places we have visited during our bus tour. People are curious about Öcalan, his philosophy and ideas. During our activities, we tell the people mainly about the new paradigm Öcalan has developed, and his perspectives for a solution to the crisis in the Middle East, which arouses great interest. We hand out Öcalan’s books, leaflets and brochures on his ideas about various issues. Participants of this event are all in good morale and continue the program as per their plan. We will tell about Öcalan everywhere we go, which is the main goal of the bus tour.”
