Vigil for Öcalan goes to Kurdish and German group

The vigil demonstration held for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's freedom is taken on by German and Kurdish activists from Salzgitter, Germany.

The Freedom for Öcalan Vigil held in front of the Council of Europe (CoE) building in Strasbourg, France is on its 311th week.

Members of the Netherlands Women's Initiative held the Vigil last week, and this week German ally Alex Weist and Kurdish patriots named Levent and Şervan from Salzgitter, Germany are taking over.

During the week, the activists will be promoting Öcalan's ideas and ask for support for his freedom. The new group members stressed that the captivity of Öcalan and the isolation that has been intensifying in the last few years is absolutely unacceptable and stated that the struggle for his freedom will continue.

Meanwhile, the Netherlands Women's Initiative members called for support for the vigil and other demonstrations held for Öcalan's freedom.
