Özlem Atsak laid to rest in Çaldıran
The remains of Özlem Atsak, who fell martyr during the air strike launched by the invading Turkish state in Bitlis, was buried in the Çaldıran district of Van.
Özlem Atsak fell martyr during an airstrike in Bitlis city countryside on 13 August.
Atsak's family was able to retrieve her remains on Wednesday, September 9, after applying to the Bitlis Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Atsak was buried in Yuvacık (Teqiz) neighbourhood in the Çaldıran district of Van.
The funeral took place under gendarmerie blockade and no one except the family was given permission to attend it.
