The Greens and the Left Future Party (Green Left Party) opened an election office in Dikmen, in the neighbourhood of Polatlı in Ankara. Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Ankara deputy and Green Left Party Ankara 1st Region candidates, Emirali Türkmen, Ali Özkan and Ercan Sadık İpekçi attended the opening.

'We will make the leaves of the tree grow'

Emirali Turkmen said: “The leaves of this party's tree are being watered thanks to you. We will get rid of this government and grow our struggle for a Democratic Republic together. We will take back all our municipalities that have been appointed trustees. We will make the leaves of this tree grow. Elections are the time to show our will and raise the struggle together. We are united, we are together, we will change things together."

'Nothing is impossible'

Ali Özkan said: “We want to get rid of the AKP-MHP fascism, which has kept this country in darkness for 20 years. We want to enter the parliament with 100 deputies. We want to enter Ankara with 3 deputies from the 1st constituency. Nothing is impossible.”

Ercan Sadık İpekçi said that he is also a journalist and that he has journalist colleagues in prisons. “My colleagues were arrested because they were covering news. There are intellectuals, academics, writers and politicians in prison. We know that these are political cases. On 14 May, this order will change, fascism will end. We will liberate all imprisoned politicians and colleagues.”
