Election work continues in Turkey and all over North Kurdistan, where the Green Left Party is opening election offices, holding public meetings and canvassing.
The Green Left Party opened an election office in Urfa (Riha). Thousands of people attended the opening, as well as members of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Free Women's Movement (TJA), Peace Mothers' Assembly.
'We represent all peoples'
Green Left Party Urfa candidate Ayşe Tutku said that they are heading towards a historic election and added: "We have been under a dictatorship, a fascist and cruel government. The Green Left Party will defeat this regime on 14 May and put an end to this persecution."
Tutku said: "We will be the voice of all peoples."
'We trust our will'
Ferit Şenyaşar, also a candidate of the Green Left Party in Urfa, said: "There is a general injustice in Turkey. The center of injustice is now Urfa. We have been fighting for justice against this injustice for 5 years, and for 2 years I have been holding a vigil every day together with my mother in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The whole of Turkey is following this struggle. Our struggle is also on the agenda in the world press. The Minister of Justice Bekir Bozdağ, who caused this injustice, was nominated in Urfa by the order of the President. The people of Urfa will give the necessary answer on 14 May. We are strong and we trust our will."
