The birthday of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan was celebrated in Paris with an event held at the Sorbonne university.
At the event organized by students from different backgrounds, sections of Abdullah Öcalan's books were read and debated.
The severe isolation conditions in which Abdullah Öcalan has been held for the past 25 years were also discussed, and students protested the European Parliament and the Committee for the Prevention of Torture, CPT, for not fulfilling their duties.
At the event, it was underlined that a more organized stance should be taken against the unlawful practices of the Turkish state. It was also said that the Rojava Revolution, in which Abdullah Öcalan's ideas and philosophy came to life, should be protected and expanded further.
At the event, a call was made to participate in the action to be held in Strasbourg between 15-19 April.
