Actions against isolation all over Europe

Actions were promoted in Switzerland and France to draw attention to the hunger strike resistance demanding the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Actions and demonstrations continue all over Europe to express support to the hunger strike led by the DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven to demand the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Zurich

A protest was promoted by the Platform for Solidarity with the Hunger Strikes in Zurich.

Activists protested the isolation ofÖcalan and the silence of international institutions and states about the hunger strikes led by Leyla Güven. 

Bern

An action was held at Bahnhofplatz in front of the central train station. The action was promoted by the Mizgin Women's Council. Kurdish activists protested the isolation against the Kurdish people’s leader and expressed their solidarity with the hunger strikers. 

Bern Tev-Çand Theater Workshop organized a performance.

The Internationalist Feminist Women have promoted the campaign ‘7,000 banners for 7,000 prisoners’ and wrote the banners in classes at the University of Bern.

Delemont

Activists in the town of Delemont organised a demonstration in solidarity with the hunger strikers and to protest the isolation against Öcalan and the silence of the international institutions and states.

Aarau

In Aarau an action was held in front of the central train station to protest the isolation against Öcalan.

Villiers Le Bel

In Villiers le Bel, a suburb of Paris, Kurds carried out a march to support the indefinite, hunger strike by Leyla Güven and about 8,000 prisoners.

Bordeaux

A march was organised in the city of Bordeaux in France.

Kurdish activists organised a protest against the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan' and in support to the hunger strike resistance.
