Actions in solidarity with hunger strikers spread around Europe

Solidarity with Kurdish hunger strike campaign demanding an end to the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan is growing.
Kurds and their friends are taking to the streets all around the world to express their support with the Kurdish activists on indefinite hunger strikes against the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan.
Berlin
An action was held in Berlin to draw attention to the Kurdish hunger strike resistance led by DTK co-chair and HDP MP Leyla Güven.
A demonstration was promoted by Berlin Yazidi Women’s Council EDESSA and DEST-DAN Women's Council under the slogan “Remaining silent is being partner in a crime against humanity”.
The action was held in front of the German Federal Parliament. Speakers reminded of the importance of the hunger strike.
In a statement, activists said that the world cannot remain silent in the face of an action demanding the end of a crime against humanity such isolation.
Frankfurt
In Frankfurt a human chain action was organised to protest isolation and to draw attention to hunger strikes.
Frankfurt Amara Women's Council and the Hanau Nujin Women's Council led the action in Hauptwache.
Hunger strikers Leyla Güven and Nasır Yağız were commended together with all the other hunger strikers.
Stuttgart
An action was also held in Stuttgart in solidarity with the hunger strikers and the call signed by 50 Nobel Prize Laureates was handed out.
Rennes
An action took place in the French city of Rennes, in front of the Town Hall Square. The protest demanding the end of isolation against Öcalan was organized by Zin Women's Association and Rennes Democratic Kurdish Community Center.
Athens
In the Greek capital Athens, Kurdish Revolutionary Youth Movement (Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger) activists organised a demonstration to protest against the isolation imposed on Öcalan and to show solidarity with the hunger strikers.
Leaflets were handed out in Polytechnic University.
