Actions target police HQ and AKP building in Istanbul

Istanbul police directorate and AKP headquarters were targeted in separate actions Friday evening.

Istanbul police directorate was targeted by a rocket attack Friday evening.

According to Turkish media, the action on the police HQ on Vatan Street was carried out with a flamethrower weapon that hit the garden wall of the building. Reports suggest that the C Block building of the police HQ was also targeted. Police forces have launched an operation in the area.

Another action, again with a flamethrower weapon, targeted the Istanbul headquarters of the AKP.

In the meantime, AKP Party Group Deputy Chair Mehmet Muş claimed that both actions were carried out by the Revolutionary People's Liberation Party/Front (DHKP-C).
