Activists in Amsterdam and Darmstadt protested the Turkish state attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria, and called on everyone to defend the Rojava Revolution.
Activists in Amsterdam and Darmstadt protested the Turkish state attacks against Northern and Eastern Syria, and called on everyone to defend the Rojava Revolution.
After the Turkish state murdered Qamişlo Canton co-chair Yusra Darwish, her deputy Leyman Shiwesh and Firat Tûma as a result of an Armed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle attack in Qamishlo Canton on 20 June, the people of Kurdistan took to the streets to protest the attack.
Kurdish people and their friends came together in front of the Turkish Consulate in Amsterdam, to attend a demonstration organized by DEM-NED (Netherlands Democratic Kurdish Community Centers). The people condemned the attack carried out by the Turkish state and demanded that world public opinion put a stop to Turkish colonialism and support the resisting Kurdistan Freedom Movement. In a statement, the DEM-NED called on everyone to defend the Rojava Revolution.
Darmstadt
A similar protest took place in the city of Darmstadt, where people took to the streets to condemn the Turkish attacks. YPG and YPJ banners were carried at Luisenplatz, where dozens of people gathered chanting slogans such as "Martyr namirin", "Murderer/Dictator Erdogan" and "Bijî berxwedana Rojava".
