Activists in Europe protest deadly attack against KNK

Protests took place in Europe against the deadly attack against the Kurdistan National Congress in Hewlêr and the murder of KNK representative Deniz Cevdet Bülbün.

Protests took place in many European countries to protest the armed attack against the KNK (Kurdistan National Congress) representation in Hewlêr (Erbil).

KNK representative Deniz Cevdet Bülbün was shot dead in the attack on Monday in the capital of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The Kurdish European association KCDK-E called on Kurds in Europe to attend the demonstrations to be organized in many cities. Kurds blame the Barzani clan and the KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party) for the deadly attack.

The KNK building in Hewlêr is monitored around the clock by security forces and the KKP secret service, yet the attacker or attackers were able to escape without any problems after the crime.
