Activists in Paris demand justice for Maraş, Roboski and 19 December 2000 Prison massacres

A meeting was held in Paris to remember the 1978 Maraş Massacre, the 19 December 2000 Prison Massacre and the 28 December 2011 Roboski Massacre.

The left revolutionary democratic forces of Turkey and the leadership of CDK-F in Paris protested the Maraş, Roboski and 19 December Prison massacres.

Gathering in front of Strasbourg Saint-Denis (Kemer), the revolutionary democratic forces and the people of Kurdistan held banners saying "We will hold those responsible for the Roboski and Maraş massacre to account" and "Don't forget the 19 December massacre". Activists held a minute's silence in memory of all the martyrs of the revolution.

The speeches said that the history of Turkey is full of massacres and genocides, and added that the isolation system in Imrali applied to Abdullah Öcalan, who has been prevented from meeting with his lawyers since 7 August 2019, has been spread to all prisons. The activists also said that many prisoners are trying to make their voices heard by going on hunger strikes and protesting isolation and oppression in prisons.
