Activists in Saarbrücken and Mantes-la-Jolie pay tribute to 14 July Martyrs

The 14 July Great Death Fast resistance fighters were commemorated with events held in Saarbrücken, Germany, and Mantes-la-Jolie, France.

M. Hayri Durmuş, Kemal Pir, Ali Çiçek and Akif Yılmaz, the leading cadres of the PKK who fell as martyr in the historical resistance that started on 14 July 1982, were commemorated in the Mantes-la-Jolie district of Paris. After a minute’s silence, speeches were made on behalf of the families of the martyrs.

Activists said that they would follow on the path of the martyrs and protect their legacy.

The event ended with a cine-vision screening prepared for the martyrs of July 14, followed by a music concert by Tev-Cand artists.

The martyrs of the 14 July death fast were commemorated with an event organized by the People's Assembly of Saarbrücken. The speakers at the event saluted the resistance in Zap, Metina and Avaşin.
