Activists in Sweden protest Turkish attack targeting women

The attack carried out by the Turkish state in the village of Helîncê, in Kobanê on Tuesday evening as a result of which 3 women lost their lives, was protested in Sweden.

Protests were held in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

Stockholm

Amara Women's Assembly, organised a protest action at Sergelstorg Square to condemn the massacre that the Turkish state carried out in the village of Helincê in Kobanê as a result of which 3 women lost their lives.

Kurds and their friends carried the pictures of the women murdered by the Turkish state and the flags of the Kurdish Women's Movement.

Gothenburg

Kurds came together in Brunn Park to protest the Turkish state's massacre in the village of Helincê in Kobanê.

In the speech made on behalf of the Martyr Sema Women's Commune, it was stated that the attack carried out by the Turkish state was an attack on all the people living in Kobanê. The oppressed peoples and women's organizations were called to react and protest against the Turkish state's attacks on women.

The activists called on all Kurds and their friends living in Gothenburg to attend the protest action in Brunn Park on Saturday at 2 pm.
