Akar: We aim at getting 4 deputies elected in Ağrı

Green Left Party Ağrı co-spokesperson Cemal Akar said that their goal is to have 4 deputies elected on 14 May.

The Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party) nominated Sırrı Sakık, Nejla Demir, Heval Bozdağ and Zelal Yılmaz as candidates for the 14 May elections in Ağrı (Agirî).

Currently, there are 3 MPs from HDP and one MP from AKP in Ağrı. Green Left Party Ağrı co-spokesperson Cemal Akar emphasized that their goal is to get all 4 deputies.

Akar said: “Other parties continue to exist as signage parties. Previously, we had a race for one deputy with the AKP, but now our people are very angry against this fascist system that promotes nothing but denial and annihilation. The crisis is reflected in the lives of the people in every way.”

Akar added: "Our people are aware that the reason for this is the monist mentality. Elections are a tool for us. We are the people's party.

We see the reaction and anger of the people and shape our policies accordingly. No party should take a stake in this election process. The Green Left Party is a strong actor and this time we will score 4-0."

Emphasizing the importance of ballot box security, Akar said: "We have taken all precautions. This system has been exposed before for fraud. We are working hard to ensure election security. We are meeting with many lawyers to ensure election security together with them. At the same time, our patriotic people and party members will do their best. We have previous experience; we know that this system cannot be trusted. We have taken every precaution and will protect our ballot boxes."

Akar said: "This government is ignoring the Kurds and establishing its power through the elimination of the Kurds. But it will be defeated. We will defeat this dictatorship, starting with Ağrı. The interests, wishes and language of our people are our priority. The future of a people is at stake, and we, the politicians, are ready to pay any price to ensure a better future for people. We will win."
