The AKP has sent letters to the families of Roboski victims, asking them to vote for the party at the 7 June elections. Kadri Encü, who lost his brother in the massacre, said: "When I saw the letter it reminded me of my brother, Şirvan, and I felt terrible."
Families of victims of the Roboski massacre reacted angrily to the letters from the ruling AKP, saying they added insult to the injury caused by the posters put up in Şırnak proclaiming: "We will make our own war planes."
Kadri Encü described his reaction to receiving the letter thus: "I don't understand this lack of understanding. Only a few days ago we protested at the posters about war planes put up by the government in Şırnak, and now they are asking us to vote for them. How do they dare to do this when they haven't lifted a finger to find justice for the families of Roboski? When I saw the letter it reminded me of my brother, Şirvan, and I felt terrible."
'We will call them to account'
Encü said: "We will definitely call the AKP government to account for the massacre and what they have put us through since."
