Ali Wazir still not out of danger after UN action

Ali Wazir, a 31 years old man from Rojava, who set himself on fire in front of the UN Geneva Office on 24 October, is still in serious conditions. 

Ali Wazir, a 31 years old man from Rojava, who set himself on fire in front of the UN Geneva Office on 24 October, is still in serious conditions. 

Wazir carried out the extreme action to protest against the silence of the United Nations (UN) on the Turkish state invasion and genocide attacks in Northern and Eastern Syria.

Wazir has 84 percent of his body burned and is being treated at Lausanne University Central Hospital (CHUV).

Wazir is still in intensive care unit, and doctors confirmed his conditions are serious and he is not out of danger.

WHO IS ALI WAZIR?

Ali Wazir, 31, originally from the city of Hesekê in Rojava, is married and has two children. Wazir has been living in Essen, Germany for four years.
