The People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Istanbul Provincial Organization is continuing the preparations for the "Freedom and Democracy Rally" to be held tomorrow, Sunday, in order to support the Great Freedom March that took place between 1-15 February. Like the Great Freedom March, the rally will demand freedom for Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan and a political solution to the Kurdish question.

Some 200 thousand leaflets were distributed in all boroughs of Istanbul. The provincial organization visited tradesmen and invited people to the rally. DEM Party co-chair Tülay Hatimoğulları, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-chairs and DEM Party Istanbul Provincial Organization co-chairs will speak at the rally, which will end with the opening of an election office in Esenyurt Square.

DEM Party Provincial Organization executive, Ekim Devrim Çapartaş underlined that democracy and freedom will be the main demands at the rally. Çapartaş added: "The Freedom March, which took place with our people and our representatives, was very important for everyone."
