Mutual attacks between Israel and Iran continued last night. Many people were killed or injured in the bombings.
The mutual bombardment that began following Israel's air strikes against Iran on June 13 continues unabated.
The latest air strikes by Israel were directed against missile production facilities and launch pads in the capital Tehran.
Iran also fired numerous missiles at Israel. According to data released by Israel's National Emergency Services Agency (Magen David Adom/MDA), during the night, missiles struck residential areas, energy facilities, and public buildings in many regions, primarily in Haifa and Tel Aviv.
Ballistic missiles launched by Iran hit an energy plant in the city of Haifa. Explosions were heard in the area, which is home to electricity, oil, and industrial facilities.
According to Magen David Adom, three people were killed and 74 were injured.
The US embassy in Tel Aviv was damaged in Iran's latest attack on Israel.
The semi-official Fars News Agency, based in Iran, reported that regime forces executed a person convicted of “spying” for Israel's intelligence agency Mossad.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated the following on his Telegram channel: “Tehran's boastful dictator has turned into a cowardly murderer and is deliberately firing at Israel's civilian home front in an attempt to deter Israel from continuing the attack that crippled his capabilities. The people of Tehran will pay the price for this - and very soon.”
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that they are not pursuing nuclear weapons but will never give up nuclear energy.
Pezeshkian stated: “Israel's attacks against Muslim countries are systematic attempts at oppression and domination. Iran will not back down in the face of these threats. We have never sought regional hegemony. It is Israel that is attacking Muslim peoples one by one and trying to force them to accept its own impositions. By turning a blind eye to these attacks, the United States is clearly violating international law.
We are not pursuing nuclear weapons; however, no one should expect us to give up nuclear energy. During this period, we expect calm and solidarity from our people. We will not bow to Israeli aggression.”
