Lawyers from the Bar Association of Amed have lodged an appeal to the Supreme Council of Judges and Public Prosecutors against judges and public prosecutors that have signed the decision for the continuation of detention for five deputies of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP).

Lawyers have also filed an appeal to a superior court for the reversal of Diyarbakır 5th and 6th High Criminal Courts' decision against Selma Irmak, Gülser Yıldırım, İbrahim Ayhan, Faysal Sarıyıldız and Kemal Aktaş.

President of Amed Bar Association, Tahir Elçi, said local courts committed an offense by giving a verdict adverse to the decision of the Constitutional Court.
