In a statement evaluating the 3rd judicial package which was approved by the Turkish Assembly on Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdað said that the new amendments will give Turkish courts the authority to subject jailed deputies to judicial control.

The three-year restriction in the crimes of jailed deputies has been removed in the most recent judicial amendments, thus enabling courts to apply judicial process if deemed necessary, said Bozdað.
