Another hunger striker taken to hospital

A second hunger striker has been taken to hospital in Strasbourg on saturday night. Tarýk Yusufi, one of the fifteen people on an indefinite hunger strike has been hurriyed to hospital after his conditions deteriorated for the long fast.

The fifteen people on hunger strike in Strasbourg St. Maurice church have been fasting for 39 days. Five of the protesters are women.

Yusuefi is 33 years old and has been taken to hospital after the doctor on site decided it was best for him to get proper medical care.

On Monday Kurdish artists in different parts of Europe will join the hunger strike. They will go on a 5 days fast to support those who, both in Turkey and Europe, are on an indefinite fast.

The hunger strike has been launched to protest against the isolation regime imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and to demand an end to military operations and political repression against Kurds.
