Police raided artist Ferhat Tunç's house in Istanbul and took him into custody this morning.
Istanbul police conducted a raid on artist Ferhat Tunç's house early this morning on the grounds of a “forced court appearance” order issued for him. Tunç was later taken to Büyükçekmece Prosecutor's Office to give his statement.
Tunç said the followings on his Twitter account regarding his detention: "Police at my door tell me that there is a warrant of forced court appearance for me, although I went to court to testify every time I was summoned.”
The Kurdish artist said in a Twitter post that he was facing an investigation for allegedly insulting AKP's Orhan Miroğlu in a previous tweet.
