Artist Seyda Perinçek visited Xosnav Ata in front of the OPCW in Den Haag, where he is protesting against Turkish use of chemical weapons.
Xosnav Ata lost his nieces Gülperin and Mihriban Ata in a chemical attack carried out by the Turkish state, and for 43 days he has been protesting in front of the Chemical Weapons Prohibition Organization (OPCW).
Artist Seyda Perinçek visited Ata and said that she came to visit the man to express her solidarity. "Chemical weapons are now being used against our people, our children and our values. Xosnav Ata started an important action. As his comrades, we stand by him. We want to make his voice heard. We want all those who have a conscience to listen to him. We commend his action."
Xosnav Ata said that he has been carrying out his action for 42 days and said that he requested the OPCW to investigate the use of chemical weapons by the Turkish state. Ata said: "Our aim is clear. Chemical weapons are used against Kurdish children every day. We want the OPCW to investigate the chemical weapons issue. That's why we're carrying out this vigil for justice."
Ata also appealed to the Kurdish people, artists and intellectuals and asked them to come and visit the vigil like Seyda Perinçek did.
